SELF CARE FOR TEACHERS POST COVID-19

Self care for teachers has been put on the back burner. Everyone is talking about the Post COVID-19 Teaching epidemic.  I say epidemic because I haven’t heard any other countries with this sickness.  Well, typically not a sickness but we ARE getting sick of it! You know what I mean. It seems like now, more than ever, teachers are battling to keep students in the classroom and that ever-so-precious teaching time.  It’s maddening to say the least and your mental health could be at risk! Once again, self care is not on our plate, but shouldn’t it be there? We get it and we have some ideas that will help you with your mental state of mind and coping mechanisms.

TREAT YOURSELF!

That’s right! I said it!  Do something that you enjoy or buy something that makes you happy!  My happy place is a bubble bath with a glass of wine or a few minutes to myself.  Other ideas are to take a walk, spend time with people you love, meditate, don’t think you have to do it all – get some help with lesson plans. http://www.lacoach.shop

NO MONEY, NO WORRIES

Make yourself breakfast in bed, read a book, moisturize (I love this one), write in a journal, create a bedroom haven, visit a friend, meditate!  There are so many ways you can love yourself and destress at the same time.

My point is, you are responsible for yourself.  Be there for you.  A self care for teachers is a must!
